Job Description
The School of Nursing and Midwifery welcomes applications for an Administrative Support Officer to join our dedicated professional staff team.
This full-time role is based at the Nathan campus and provides administrative support to the Nursing and Midwifery disciplines, contributing to the delivery of high‑quality learning, teaching and research activities. The position offers variety, with responsibility for a broad range of administrative tasks.
Working closely with both academic and professional colleagues, and under the guidance of the School Manager, the Administrative Support Officer will play an important role in supporting the School’s operations. The role is primarily campus‑based, with opportunities to work across multiple campuses as required.
About you
We are seeking an enthusiastic and highly organised administrator who enjoys being part of a collaborative team and contributing to a busy, dynamic environment. The successful candidate will bring a strong attention to detail, a proactive approach to their work, and confidence using a range of software systems.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Providing responsive and professional administrative support to academic and professional staff
- Supporting HR processes, including casual engagements, advertisement requests and appointment documentation
- Managing diaries and travel bookings, liaising with colleagues across the University, and providing administrative support to working parties and ad hoc committees
- Assisting with the planning and delivery of events and workshops
- Coordinating a welcoming and effective onboarding experience for new staff and HDR students
What we can offer
This is a continuing, full time position primarily based at Griffith University Brisbane South (Nathan) campus. As Griffith is a multi-site University you may be required to work across other locations. Griffith University’s campuses are located on the lands of the Yugarabul, Yuggera, Jagera, Turrbal, Yugambeh and Kombumerri peoples.
Salary Range
The full time equivalent base salary will be HEW Level 4 range $73,623 - $77,680 per annum + 17% superannuation. The total FTE package will be in the range $86,139 - $90,886 per annum.
