Campus Life Capital Works and Minor Projects (CW&MP) plan and deliver new-built assets, refurbishments to existing facilities and replacements or upgrades of services infrastructure across all of Griffith University's campuses. The projects and client portfolios are diverse, and range in value and complexity, delivered through various contractual engagements.
Job Description
As a Project Contract Administrator, you will be supporting the delivery of Griffith's infrastructure projects, which includes a new nine-storey flagship building contributing to the future vision of Brisbane South (Nathan) campus, along with a broad portfolio of projects which provide campus enhancements and renewals including accessibility upgrades and sustainability projects such as multi-campus solar panel installation.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive administrative support across the tendering, contract establishment, and contract management lifecycle. Including preparing and processing Payment Certificates, Variation Claims, and Extension of Time requests.
- Manage project financial controls by setting up purchase orders in PeopleSoft, reconciling transactions, reviewing, and correcting expenditure allocations, and calculating, lodging, and paying statutory registrations and levies to meet legislative obligations.
- Maintain accurate contract documentation and project records (both in PeopleSoft and Project Online), oversee adherence to established procedures and contractual terms, and escalate any non-compliance issues.

You will also have:
- Demonstrated working knowledge and an understanding of construction contract administration processes and associated financial procedures.
- Direct and recent experience of managing construction contracts.
- Strong financial and systems capability, including experience working with enterprise finance systems and reconciliations.
- High attention to detail with the ability to manage documentation, compliance requirements and competing priorities.
- Possess skills in Microsoft Office Suite of programs and experience in, or the ability to acquire proficiency in, PeopleSoft and Project Management Software

This is a fixed term (ending 9 April 2027), full time position primarily based at the Griffith University Brisbane South (Nathan) campus. As Griffith is a multi-site University you may be required to work across other locations.
Griffith University’s sites are located on the lands of the Yugarabul, Yuggera, Jagera, Turrbal, Yugambeh and Kombumerri peoples.
Salary Range
The full time equivalent base salary will be HEW Level 5.1, $79,705 per annum + 17% superannuation. The total FTE package will be $93,254 per annum.
