Job Description
Project Leadership & Delivery
- Lead end‑to‑end project delivery for a 230kV EGAT‑certified substation: design, construction, installation, testing, commissioning, and handover.
- Develop, update, and manage project execution plans, schedules, budgets, and reporting.
- Coordinate internal engineering, external contractors, vendors, and EGAT project teams.
- Ensure timely procurement and delivery of major equipment including GIS, transformers, protection relays, and control systems.
Technical Oversight
- Review and approve detailed engineering, SLDs, protection schemes, layout drawings, and construction documents.
- Supervise civil, electrical, and commissioning activities to ensure compliance with EGAT and Thai standards.
- Lead and/or witness FAT, SAT, energization, and commissioning activities to ensure safe and successful grid integration.
Stakeholder & Compliance Management
- Drive compliance with EGAT standards, Thai grid code, national safety regulations, and environmental requirements.
- Manage risk assessments, permits, change requests, and technical clarifications.
Team & Contractor Management
- Lead multidisciplinary project and site teams, ensuring alignment across civil, electrical, commissioning, and safety functions.
- Promote a culture focused on safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, or related technical discipline.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in high‑voltage substation projects, with direct expertise in 230kV systems.
- Strong knowledge of EGAT standards, Thai regulatory processes, and substation permitting requirements.
- Demonstrated experience delivering substation projects through design, construction, and commissioning phases.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, including engagement with utilities, authorities, contractors, and local communities.
- Fluency in both English and Thai, spoken and written.
- Ability to work on‑site during construction and commissioning phases and manage a diverse, multi‑disciplinary team.
