Job Description
The Didipio mine is located on Luzon Island in the Philippines and is the Company’s only asset that produces both gold and copper. Didipio was built by OceanaGold in 2013 and operates fully as underground mine, with over 800 employees that support the mine.
OceanaGold is seeking a suitably qualified, experienced, and reliable Business Partner - People & Culture (Talent Acquisition & Compliance). The People & Culture Business Partner acts as a strategic advisor to leaders and a trusted support to employees. This role ensures that HR practices are aligned with business goals by providing guidance in the core HR functions such as Onboarding (Talent Acquisition), Rewards, Performance and Mobility (R&P), and HR compliance. This role supports people-focused initiatives and ensures compliance with labor laws and company policies.
Key tasks and responsibilities:
- Actively partners with leaders to support organizational performance and culture
- Works effectively with IT, HR Operations, managers, and other stakeholders to ensure all Day 1 essentials are ready
- Communicates company policies, culture, processes, and expectations in a clear and engaging manner
- Ensures new hires receive their 30/60/90‑day plans and clarifies general expectations with hiring managers
- Maintains regular check-ins throughout the onboarding period to address questions or concerns
- Ensures completion and accuracy of onboarding requirements (contracts, IDs, background checks, mandatory trainings).
- Follows company standards, timelines, and legal/compliance requirements reliably
- Support implementation of rewards and performance programs including performance reviews, merit increases, and bonus administration
- Ensures accuracy and timeliness of employee data related to compensation, ratings, and movements
- Coordinates employee mobility actions such as promotions, transfers, internal and external placements, foreign national permits and visas, etc
- Identifies opportunities to improve fairness, consistency, and process efficiency in rewards and mobility practices
- Provides guidance with regard to HR policies and procedures
- Follows established HR policies in daily tasks
- Identifies and reports potential compliance issues
- Provides accurate information on standard HR policies when asked
- Collects documents and other relevant data according to standard procedures
- Double checks accuracy of data being entered into the system regularly
- Raises issues regarding records and data to immediate supervisor in a timely manner
Qualifications

- Willing to work in Makati but may travel to Nueva Vizcaya on business needs
Educational Background:
Work Experience and Background:
- 3-5 years experience in Human Resources or related discipline
- Prior experience in onboarding and compliance
- Experience in employee relations, performance management, talent development, and organizational change is highly valued
Desired Qualifications
- Certificate in Human Resources or related discipline
Knowledge:
- Knowledge HR Management processes and systems
- Computer literate
