Job Description
Build Software That Actually Matters
This is a hands on engineering role where your work goes to production and makes a real impact.
You will build, ship, and support mission critical applications alongside a strong team of developers and Azure DevOps engineers. You will see your code move from idea to deployment and into real world use.
We are looking for someone who enjoys owning meaningful pieces of work end to end. You are comfortable moving across the stack, solving problems wherever they surface, and collaborating with teammates to deliver clean, reliable solutions.
C# and .NET may be your core platform, but you are equally comfortable digging into Node.js services, optimizing database queries, or partnering with DevOps to ensure smooth and automated releases.
If you take pride in writing thoughtful code, improving systems over time, and stepping up when something needs attention, you will thrive here.
What You Will Do
Full Stack Application Development
- Design, build, and maintain production applications using C# ASP.NET across the full stack
- Integrate GIS and mapping technologies such as ArcGIS and Leaflet into application workflows
- Build and consume REST and GraphQL APIs from internal and external systems
- Write clean, testable, well documented code and participate in meaningful code reviews
Database Engineering
- Design schemas and write performant queries across SQL Server, MySQL, and Azure Cosmos DB for MongoDB
- Optimize performance, indexing, and query efficiency
- Support backup, migration, and capacity planning efforts
- Make thoughtful database decisions based on workload and long term maintainability
Azure and DevOps Ownership
- Contribute to Azure DevOps CI and CD pipelines including build and release management
- Manage Azure Key Vault, certificates, and secure secrets handling
- Configure and support Azure Cache for Redis
- Own your deployments from commit through production release with automation and traceability
Operations and Quality
- Participate in incident response and root cause analysis for systems you help build
- Improve monitoring, alerting, and logging using Azure Monitor and Log Analytics
- Support compliance requirements such as NIST, RMF, or CMMC where applicable
- Document architecture, configurations, and operational practices to ensure long term sustainability
What You Will Accomplish in Your First Six Months
Within your first six months, you will:
- Develop a strong understanding of our architecture, codebase, and deployment environment
- Take ownership of a meaningful feature or service from design through production deployment
- Deliver production ready code that improves reliability, performance, or functionality
- Strengthen at least one CI and CD workflow in partnership with DevOps
- Contribute to operational maturity by improving monitoring, performance, or resilience
By month six, you will be a trusted contributor who owns real components of the system and has left the platform better than you found it.
