The Opportunity
Metalcorp is looking for a Storeperson to join our Warehouse Teambased in Bendigo. Metalcorp is a steel and aluminium distributor also specialising in rural products. It is the rural brand for the land with branches in regional locations and is trusted by customers for the quality of its products and the service of its people. The tailored product range includes specialised livestock handling equipment, building materials, structural and tubular steel, fencing, roofing, aluminium and more.
The Storeperson supports our branch operations in ensuring our products and solutions are delivered in a safe and timely manner for our customers. In this customer facing role we are looking for someone who wants to learn and is a team player. You will receive ongoing training and support to learn all aspects of the role allowing for future career development opportunities.
Working Monday to Friday onsite in Bendigo, this is a permanent full-time role and shift commences at 8am to 4pm.
What Will You Do?
In this role, working with your team, you will receive ongoing training and support to learn to:
- safely loading and unloading products on and off trucks
- accurately pick and pack orders to prepare for customer collection
- locating and organising the storage of products
- checking picked orders, invoicing and branch transfers
- general filing of receipts and invoices
- interacting and serving cash sales
- housekeeping and maintenance of the warehouse area
- assist the Warehouse Manager with periodic stock checks
- successfully contribute to a safe working environment
- may include operation of processing machines
