Role overview
This role provides an exciting opportunity for a solutions focused Senior Accountant, based offshore in the Philippines, to join a leading privately owned global technology staffing and consulting group.
The Senior Accountant will support the day-to-day finance operations of the US business, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and alignment with Group standards. The responsibilities are diverse and require strong hands-on accounting experience, particularly across internal payroll, accounts payable, and US payroll-related compliance matters.
Working closely with the Australian team, the role supports month-end reporting requirements and liaises with US operational staff, vendors, and external agencies across the US and Canada to resolve finance-related matters.
This position suits someone detail-oriented, proactive, and confident communicating with international stakeholders.
Key responsibilities:
- Support day-to-day accounting operations for the US business
- Assist with month-end close including journals, accruals, and reconciliations
- Complete bank and balance sheet reconciliations
- Manage internal payroll and support contractor payroll processes
- Calculate and validate commission payments
- Process accounts payable and resolve vendor queries
- Assist with US payroll tax filings and respond to tax notices
- Liaise with US stakeholders, vendors, and authorities to resolve finance-related matters
- Contribute to reporting deadlines and continuous process improvements
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in an accounting role, with experience across accounts payable and internal payroll
- Experience supporting US payroll activities and resolving US tax notices and vendor issues highly regarded
- Strong experience in bank and balance sheet reconciliations
- Ability to communicate confidently with stakeholders located in the US and Canada (vendors, banks, US federal and state authorities), including making outbound calls where required
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Accounting
