Job Description
The Electrical-BIM Modeler should demonstrate expertise in industry-standard software including Revit and Navisworks. The role requires comprehensive knowledge of electrical design disciplines, including lighting design, small power distribution, lightning protection systems, earthing solutions, and single-line diagram preparation.
Key responsibilities include:
- Develop and maintain accurate 3D BIM models for electrical systems and components
- Coordinate with electrical design engineers and other project disciplines to ensure model accuracy and consistency
- Perform clash detection and resolution using Navisworks to identify conflicts between electrical systems and other building services
- Generate construction documentation, schedules, and reports from BIM models
- Ensure all models comply with relevant industry standards, codes, and client specifications
- Conduct quality assurance reviews and model validation to maintain data integrity
- Manage model revisions and updates throughout the project lifecycle
- Collaborate with architects, structural engineers, and MEP teams to integrate electrical systems within the overall building design
- Prepare lighting layouts, power distribution diagrams, and protection system schematics within the BIM environment
- Support project teams with BIM coordination meetings and technical documentation
