What you’ll do:
We’re looking for an experienced and customer‑focused Retail and Sales Attendant to join our team in a casual, longer‑term role. This position is ideally suited to local residents, as staff accommodation is not provided. During peak season, this role offers approximately 25+ hours per week.
Our retail and sales team are the beginning of an exceptional guest experience, offering assistance, making and confirming reservations and promoting additional products and services. On a daily basis you will:
- Check booking availability, make reservations and ticketing.
- Answer phone and email enquires promptly and professionally.
- Assist in the retail space by cleaning, restocking or sales of product.
This role would suit someone who enjoys working with people, values good service, and brings life experience, confidence and a steady approach to their work. Previous retail, tourism or customer service experience will be highly regarded.
What you’ll bring:
- Demonstrated passion to work in a high achievement, sales focused and outcome driven team
- Proven ability to provide guests with an exceptional service experience
- Ability to engage guests in conversations that build genuine connections
- Experience in developing a sound knowledge of a broad range of products and local experiences
- Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with people at all levels
- Highly developed computer literacy, particularly with common office applications
- Ability to achieve outcomes with minimal direct supervision
- Experience with ticketing systems - Customlink is highly desirable
- Flexible attitude to work hours over a 7 day roster, including weekends and public holidays
